Did you know? The largest Easter egg ever made was over 25 feet high and weighed over 8,000 pounds. It was built out of chocolate and marshmallow and supported by an internal steel frame.

Easter Eggs

Easter is a religious holiday, but some of its customs, such as Easter eggs, are likely linked to pagan traditions. The egg, an ancient symbol of new life, has been associated with pagan festivals celebrating spring. From a Christian perspective, Easter eggs are said to represent Jesus’ emergence from the tomb and resurrection. Decorating eggs for Easter is a tradition that dates back to at least the 13th century, according to some sources. One explanation for this custom is that eggs were formerly a forbidden food during the Lenten season, so people would paint and decorate them to mark the end of the period of penance and fasting, then eat them on Easter as a celebration.

Easter egg hunts and egg rolling are two popular egg-related traditions. In the U.S., the White House Easter Egg Roll, a race in which children push decorated, hard-boiled eggs across the White House lawn, is an annual event held the Monday after Easter. The first official White House egg roll occurred in 1878, when Rutherford B. Hayes was president. The event has no religious significance, although some people have considered egg rolling symbolic of the stone blocking Jesus’ tomb being rolled away, leading to his resurrection.

¡Hola a todos y todas! 

Pues sí, parece que la primavera ha venido y nadie sabe cómo ha sido. 

A. Machado 

¡Y nosotros sin poder salir a dar paseítos y darle la bienvenida que se merece! Pero ya sabéis, toca ser responsable en esta situación que estamos viviendo y verla llegar desde nuestra ventana. 

Para ello os envío más actividades para que paséis un rato divertido en casa. Son propuestas e ideas para que las podáis adaptar a vuestros hijos e hijas o para que os puedan servir de inspiración para hacer otras actividades que se os ocurran. 

¿Qué pretendemos con estas actividades? 

A través de estas actividades trabajamos el lenguaje receptivo (capacidad de escucha), así como también el lenguaje expresivo (expresión oral). Además potenciaremos su capacidad imaginativa y creativa, y a hacer actividades manipulativas despejamos la mente y nos liberamos de las emociones negativas. También trabajamos la atención y concentración ya que el niño debe centrar sus sentidos en una sola cosa, aprendiendo a centrar su atención y concentrarse de un modo paulatino. Aumentamos la autoestima porque el niño se ve capaz de afrontar un reto y lograr su objetivo. Por su puesto la psicomotricidad en general y en particular el área motora fina. Es decir, la soltura en el manejo de los dedos y manos como herramientas, fortaleciendo también los músculos que los componen. De la misma forma, estos trabajos manuales desarrollan la paciencia y la perseverancia.

A la sombra del hashtag #yomequedoencasa nos vimos de un día para otro usando palabras como confinamiento, aislamiento, abastecimiento, no puedes ir al cole, no puedes ir al parque, no puedes quedar con tus amigos/as.....Pero esto de verdad nos está pasando....Estas no eran cosas de otros países, de otras gentes.?...lejos...que sí, las veo por televisión, lo comentan en las redes sociales,...pero a mí?...a mi familia?...en mi país, en mi ciudad, en mi barrio?

PUES SÍ....ESTO ESTÁ PASANDO Y ES MUY...PERO QUE MUY REAL....¡¡¡

LUCHAMOS EN UNA GUERRA EN LA QUE EL ENEMIGO ES CASI INVISIBLE....UFFFFF
